Your camera

All headbang detection runs locally in your browser. The camera feed is never uploaded, streamed, or stored by us — it exists only on your device, only while you play. Replay videos are created on your device too, and leave it only if you choose to download or share them.

Your music

Tracks you upload are decoded and analyzed in your browser. They are never uploaded to any server.

What we do store

• Leaderboard entries — the tag you enter (max 12 characters; please don't use your real name) and your score, stored so the worldwide leaderboard works.
• Abuse prevention — when you submit a score we briefly keep a one-way hash derived from your IP address (not the address itself) to rate-limit spam. These markers are routinely purged.
• Settings on your device — your sync/tempo calibration, effect preferences, and device leaderboard live in your browser's localStorage and never leave it.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count anonymous page views and feature usage (e.g. "a run was started"). It does not use cookies and does not identify you.

Third-party links

The "follow the artist" and tip-jar buttons link to external sites (whatdidyouforget.com, buymeacoffee.com) with their own privacy policies.
